| The MPVS-400 (910-1054) pressure-volume signal conditioning hardware has a four-channel PowerLab data acquisition system integrated in the single unit. The MPVS-400 is supplied with LabChart software for pressure and volume data acquisition and analysis. This unit comes with adjustable gain settings for use in ex vivo studies involving solutions with varying conductivity values.
Millar Mikro-Tip Pressure-Volume catheters have revolutionized cardiovascular research in small animals. These ultra-miniature catheters are capable of measuring both ventricular pressure and volume simultaneously and continuously from the intact beating hearts of rats and mice. The SPR-838 is an ultra-miniature Pressure-Volume Catheter (2.0F Polyimide Nylon) suitable for use in rats with an effective length of 12.5cm. The pairs of platinum electrodes are separated by 0.5mm with the distance between each pair of 9.0mm. The pressure sensor is located in the center, between the two pairs of electrodes. The catheter uses a low-profile connector for the pressure sensor and redel for the volume conductance. The catheter requires a PEC-4D Catheter Interface Cable for pressure measurement and CEC-4B Connection Cable for Conductance Catheter for connection to the MPVS-300 or MPVS-400 Pressure-Volume Unit. The Animal Bio Amp (ML136) is a galvanically isolated, high performance, software-controlled differential amplifier suitable for the measurement of a wide variety of biological signals in animals and isolated tissues. Three 2mm input sockets allow the direct connection of electrodes to this amplifier. Included with the Animal Bio Amp are MLA1215 Animal Bio Lead Wires however the unit can also be used with MLA1210 Spring Clip Electrodes or MLA1204 Needle Electrodes. Applications: Biopotential measurements, animal ECG, EEG, and EMG as well as cardiac electrical activity in isolated heart experiments. |
